The Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum is one of the earliest and finest surviving Second Empire Style country houses ever built in the United States. It is our ongoing mission to conserve and faithfully restore this splendid 62-room mansion while expanding educational programs on the material, artistic and social culture of the Victorian era. Please look at the Calendar of Events for our 2009 programs and events.

For those of you unable to visit us regularly in person, we hope this site will serve as an educational experience as well. Learn more about our ongoing Historic Preservation projects or browse this site to find out more about The Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum.

Sincerely,

Sheldon R. Gerarden
Executive Director
