Calling Young Artists | “How I See America's 250th” | Submissions Open Feb. 19 – May 19, 2026
LMMM will launch its first Young Artists’ Competition open to all elementary students, 3-5 grades; middle school students, 6-8 grades; and high school students, 9-12th grades in Connecticut. Prizes will be awarded to the top two artworks per grade in addition to the opportunity of showing the winning artworks at the Mansion.
Exhibit | “A Journey of Hope” | Mar. 12 – May 17, 2026
With a loan courtesy of Quinnipiac University, in conjunction with Ireland’s Great Hunger Museum of Fairfield, LMMM inaugurates its 2026 Season with a new exhibition that highlights the Irish American immigrant experience.
Lecture | “Connecticut in the American Revolution” | Sun., Apr. 19, 2 p.m.

Special Event | “Spring Tea at the Mansion” | Sun., May 3, 2 p.m.
LMMM will host a Spring Tea featuring a talk titled, “Gardens of the Gilded Age,” by Jana Milbocker. Luxurious tea refreshments, a hat contest, a silent auction, and a special drawing will complement this exciting afternoon. Tickets are limited.
Exhibit | “Revolutionary Roots: Generations of Change” | June 11 – Oct. 3, 2026
To commemorate America's 250th anniversary, “Revolutionary Roots” will reveal untold stories of the Lockwood and Mathews Patriot ancestors who fought for America’s independence. Through period costumes, artifacts, and didactic panels, this exhibit will illustrate their poignant experiences during the Revolutionary War.
