Holiday Open House 2025 December 14, 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm

The Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum will feature a full hour with North Pole’s Santa Claus, sparkling holiday displays, and a special dance performance featuring East Coast Contemporary Ballet.

Visitors will have an opportunity to view the exhibit, Illuminating the Holiday Season at the Mansion Enchanting Lights & Toys: Illuminating the Holiday Season at the Mansion, take unforgettable family portraits, and enjoy the glamour and splendor of the Museum’s holiday displays.

During the event, the Mansion’s Pop-up Café will be open to visitors and offer complimentary refreshments. Proceeds will benefit LMMM’s educational and cultural programs.

Santa Claus with his Loyal Elf (12:30-1:30 p.m.)
Santa Claus and his loyal elf will make their way into the Mansion and spend a full hour greeting children and hearing their Christmas wishes before they head back to the North Pole for their big night.

East Coast Contemporary Ballet (2-3 p.m.)
Principal dancers from Connecticut’s own East Coast Contemporary Ballet will perform a Holiday Dance featuring excerpts from the beloved holiday classic, The Nutcracker and will be joined by the advanced students from Darien Arts Center Dance Academy.

 

Immersed in the history and beautiful decorations of the Lockwood-Mathews Mansion, audiences will be transported into a joyful world of holiday festivities filled with bright lights, music, and dance.
